At Flourish with Fatigue, our hope is to help you to build a personalised toolbox of skills to manage the physical and psychological challenges of fatigue, make sense of your experience, and connect with your values so you can do the things that bring meaning into your life.
- We help you to make sense of your fatigue and other symptoms, not just as obstacles, but as meaningful body signals. Together, we explore patterns and triggers by looking at your daily routine and identifying stressors, including emotional, physical, social, sensory and cognitive demands.
- We work together to build practical skills for managing symptoms and energy conservation, including adjusting activities in key areas of your life such as work, social connections, physical activity, self-care, leisure, and household tasks so you can engage in them more sustainably and with more enjoyment.
- Recognising that living with fatigue often brings up difficult thoughts, feelings, and uncertainties, we support you in processing the emotional impact of fatigue with compassion, acceptance, and psychological flexibility. Sometimes fatigue and other symptoms are shaped by your history, including experiences of trauma. We approach this with a trauma-informed lens—creating safety, choice, and collaboration.
- We explore your values to identify what’s truly important to you, helping you to live more aligned with what’s meaningful while navigating the challenges of living with fatigue.
- Feeling stuck or overwhelmed can be common when living with fatigue. We incorporate principles of behaviour change to identify small achievable actions to help you to move forward with a sense of hope and agency.
- Our holistic integrated approach is grounded in curiosity, warmth, and flexibility tailoring support to your unique experience of fatigue and other persistent symptoms.
At Flourish with Fatigue, we draw on two main therapeutic approaches: occupational therapy, offering practical strategies for daily life and energy management, and cognitive behavioural psychotherapy, supporting understanding of how stress, thoughts, and past experiences affect your symptoms. You can read more about each below or book a free 15-minute consultation to explore which approach may suit you best.
